AN INVITATION WITH DETAILS WILL BE EMAILED TO THE ADDRESS YOU PROVIDED DURING YOUR REGISTRATION AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE TESTING DATE.

This is a twelfth grade equivalency test proctored by Tulsa Technology Center.  There are four parts of the exam to include: reading and comprehension; spelling and grammar; basic mathematics without using a calculator; and mathematics using a calculator.  

AGILITY EXAM

Practice Test Following Written Exam.

ALL applicants who advance beyond the Written Exam will be required to undergo an agility exam once a date has been secured.  A practice agility exam will be held the day of the written exam.  The practice is not required, but is recommended should you pass the written exam.

The official agility exam will be held approximately one week following the written exam.

BACKGROUND DOCUMENTS

Candidates who advance to the Oral Board will be required to complete a Background Investigation Questionnaire (BIQ).  To assist you in completing this information, it is recommended you obtain and secure the following information:

  • Driver License
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Transcripts and/or DD214
  • Marriage License (If Applicable)
  • Divorce Decree (If Applicable)
  • Color Photograph (Passport Photo)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver License
  • EMT Basic Certification
  • IFSAC Firefighter I Certification within one year of hire
SELECTION PROCESS Must be able to pass written examination; physical endurance test, Pension physical, psychological test, and intensive background investigation
